Composting education offers assistance to schools in turning their lunchroom and/or schoolyard organic waste into usable compost. Students learn about the soil cycle, biology of worms, and how worms and other organisms assist in the decomposition process. If the Composting program is at SCARCE, your students will get to meet and feed our worms!
This program is made for groups of under 60 students and runs about 45 minutes. The program can be tailored to fit any age or grade level.
Composting education is also available as a teacher modeling activity for free.
Please contact SCARCE for information on pricing and scheduling.
