The IVY presented celebrity bartender Jane Hodgkinson last night (January 19), to raise money for SCARCE and WDSRA. We especially want to thank Jane, our delightful bartender and good friend, who dreamed up and organized this fundraiser, and Dick O'Gorman, owner of the IVY, for contributing $1 per drink to the cause AND being our wonderful host! We had a BLAST and made some money, too. "Win-Win" as Kay would say. |

Thank you to everyone that attended our our first ever Green Tie Gala on October 24, 2012. The event, held at the Westin Hotel in Lombard, was a huge success. The Glen Ellyn Junior Women's Club hosted a bake sale at the Farmer's Market on Friday, June 15 to raise money for SCARCE. Thank you for your generous donations!

 SCARCE has partnered with Viridian to offer Illinois residents electric service options with either 20%or 100% wind power that is actually less expensive than ComEd's electricity. ComEd remains your "go to" people for electrical outages and billing issues, so there's nothing new do after signing up for Viridian service. Also, there are no enrollment or cancellation fees and no contract to sign. Viridian has been doing business in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for several years before bringing green power to Illinois residents!
SCARCE staff and supporters are very excited about this program, because we want more of our electricity to be wind generated locally to reduce air and water pollution. This service gives residents the opportunity to save money on electric bills while helping the environment.

 SCARCE has partnered with Wahlberg Panoramic Photography. Wahlberg offers a variety of photography services including class pictures, musical/play, band, orchestra, graduation class and entire school group photos. They have been in business for 85 years serving the Chicagoland area.
From each photograph taken SCARCE will receive a $2 donation.
All Panoramic photo shoots are offereed to the school at no charge!
A framed copy of the picutre is given to each school at no charge!
