 SCARCE has partnered with Viridian to offer Illinois residents electric service options with either 20%or 100% wind power that is actually less expensive than ComEd's electricity. ComEd remains your "go to" people for electrical outages and billing issues, so there's nothing new do after signing up for Viridian service. Also, there are no enrollment or cancellation fees and no contract to sign. Viridian has been doing business in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for several years before bringing green power to Illinois residents!
SCARCE staff and supporters are very excited about this program, because we want more of our electricity to be wind generated locally to reduce air and water pollution. This service gives residents the opportunity to save money on electric bills while helping the environment.
