Did you know that all hospitals, nursing home & health care facilities currently dispose of prescription drugs (still in their packaging) by flushing the medicine down the toilet? These pharmaceuticals end up in our water supply and in the soil. The Illinois Legislature is considering a solution of reusing these prescriptions drugs. The proposal would allow health-care facilities to send unused pharmaceuticals to clinics in under-served areas. To learn more, click on the link to the right.
