Did You Know that
December 5th was
"World Soil Day?"
Franklin D. Roosevelt said,
"The nation that destroys its soil
destroys itself."
Fundamental to growing our food and sustaining life is our soil. Many people heard the benefits of conserving energy and keeping our air and water clean, but few people think about our soil.

New Year's Resolution Idea for Your School:
Conduct a Lunchroom Waste Audit
- Save Natural Resources
- Save $$$
- Even Make $$$
Who does it?
SCARCE leads the waste audit with a class(es), grade level (4th & up), Eco Club or other student group
Where?
In your school: usually in the gym or cafeteria after lunch
What do we get from the waste audit?
By sorting the resources, you will find out what should really go to the landfill and what we can do to save the other natural resources that should not be there. SCARCE can help your school come up with some action points/plans for improving its practices in the lunchroom as well as ways to save natural resources from going to the landfill.
How do we save & make $$$?
SCARCE will present ways for your school to save & even make $$$ based on your waste audit results!
Contact SCARCE to schedule your WASTE AUDIT today!
